How to create zero,
pole or all pass
How to modify the
coordinates of zero, pole or all pass
How to delete zero,
pole or all pass
How to add gain
How to add phase
How to use the option
filters
To create
zero, pole or all pass you have to click on the button Add (zero,
pole or all pass)
Then will appear a new window that you have to fill in the coordinates
of the zero, pole or zero. As you can see you have the possibility to create
real or complex zero, pole or all pass.
You can see that when you add a new zero, pole or all pass the text
below the charts show the coordinates of the zero, pole or all pass you
added. And the type of zero, pole or all pass :real or complex.
To modify the
coordinates of zero, pole or all pass you have 2 options:
-
Drag the zero, pole or all pass with the mouse
-
Type new coordinates
If you decide the first option you just have to click with the mouse on
the zero, pole or all pass you want to move and drag it where you need
it.
To type in the new coordinates you have to fill
in the text below the charts and then click onto the button
modify
value.
To delete zero, pole or
all pass you have 2 options:
-
Delete all zero, pole and all pass
-
Delete the zero, pole or all pass selected
When you click on the button RESET
all the created zero, pole and all pass will be removed from the plots
charts.
To select a zero, pole or all pass
you have to click on it with the mouse, and then by clicking on the button
REMOVE
zero/pole/all pass you remove it (if
you don't select the zero, pole or all pass then when you click on the
button REMOVE zero/pole/all pass
it will remove the last created zero, pole or all pass )
To add gain
on the magnitude plot you just have to fill in the value in dB on the text
area called:add gain
and press the button modify value.
You have to know that the add gain option is restricted to +30dB to -infinity.After
using it you can come back to the init value by typing the value 0.
To add phase on
the phase plot you just have to fill in the value in degree on the text
area called:add phase
and press the button modifyvalue.
You have to know that the add phase option is not restricted!!. After using
it you can come back to the init value by typing the value 0.
At the bottom of this application
you have 4 option filters
that you can use.
-
Butterworth filter
-
Tchebyscheff filter (1dB ripple)
-
Inverse Tchebyscheff filter (40dB)
-
Bessel filter
By using them you can plot the zero and pole that compose them. You have
to fill in the order desired in the text area called order: it is restricted
to 2nd to 4th order low pass filter. Then choose with the mouse the type
of filter and then click on the button OK.
