Course provides a basic understanding of soft-computing methods and algorithms. Pattern recognition is emphasized.

Lectures:

• Start on 17.2. at 16-17
• Period V: Tuesday at 16-17 TS101,  and Thursday at 14-16 TS101
• Period VI: Tuesday at 14-17 TS101,  and Thursday at 14-16 TS101

Exercises (extra compensation from solved problems):

• Start on 25.2.
• Period V: Wednesday at 8-10 TS101
• Period VI: Thursday at 16-18 TS101

Laboratory work:

• in April, students must register for the work at the announcement table of the department

Programming task:

• a mathematical programming assignment on the course subjects, to time schedule, assistant gives the assignments

Spring 2004 exam on 7.5.2004.
