Course provides a basic knowledge of computer networks and distributed systems. Emphasis is put on TCP/IP protocols and client/server systems.

An important component of the course is Internet and TCP/IP protocol
family. The required text is not included in the above book. The Finnish
students benefit from the lecture material which includes a summary of
Internet. Material has been taken from book:
- Internetworking with TCP/IP, vol 1 (D.E. Comer): 1,3,4,5,6,7,8,12,13
(about 140 pages), see dept. library
The exam will be mostly essey-like questions. Maybe some algorithm
