    Biography:

    Marcos Katz (BSEE, Universidad Nacional de Tucumán, Argentina, 1987; MSEE, Dr. Tech, University of Oulu, Finland, 1995, 2002); Research Engineer, Nokia Telecommunications, Finland (1987 – 1995); Senior Research Engineer, Nokia Networks, Finland (1995 – 2001); Research Scientist, Centre for Wireless Communications, University of Oulu, Finland (2001 – 2002); Principal Engineer, Samsung Electronics, Advanced Research Lab., Telecommunications R&D Center, Suwon, Korea (2003 – 2005); Chief Research Scientist, VTT, Technical Research Centre of Finland (2006 – 2009). Professor, Centre for Wireless Communications, University of Oulu, Finland (Dec. 2009 – ).

    Research Interests:

    Prof. Katz has worked in a wide range of topics, including analog circuit design for transmission systems, synchronization in CDMA networks, multi-antenna techniques for TDMA and CDMA systems, cooperative and cognitive techniques, as well as optical communications.
