Computer Engineering Laboratory Courses
This document lists some of the undergraduate courses currently hosted
by the Computer Engineering Laboratory. Links to the course web pages
are presented.
-
Computer engineering exercise pages
-
Computer Engineering (formerly Computer Engineering I) will provide
students with basic understanding of the operation of digital computers.
The course consists of lectures, exercises, a laboratory assignment and an
examination of which the latter two are mandatory. These pages contain
some important information, such as exercise material, schedule, contact
information and laboratory assignment material.
-
521419A Computer Engineering II (2,5cu)
-
The course deepens the understanding of computer engineering into
system design, building on the course Computer Engineering I. The
examples are based on Intel's microprocessors and PC computers. The
course consists of lectures, exercises, a laboratory assignment and an
examination of which the latter two are mandatory. These pages contain
some important information, such as exercise material, schedule,
contact information and laboratory assignment material. This course has been
replaced with the Embedded Systems (sulautetut järjestelmät) course beginning
from spring term 2006.
-
521482A Programming Exercise (2,5op / 1,5 ov)
-
In this course the student gets to apply his/her theoretical and
practical knowledge in a small, independently implemented software
project. Student writes the code and documentation for the software,
based on given requirements. When ready, the software is tested and
the whole process is reviewed with the assistant.
-
521479S Software Project (7cp)
-
In this course the student is familiarised with the phases of the
software engineering process and working in a project. The theories
from earlier studies put to practice. Experience from developing and
testing a software component developed for real-life use. Main focus
is on project documentation and formal reviews.
-
521464S Real-Time Object-Oriented Programming (2,5cu)
-
The course familiarises the student with object-oriented analysis,
design, and implementation techniques of embedded real-time computer
software. The course consists of lectures, an exercise, and
an examination of which the latter two are mandatory. These pages
contain some important information, such as exercise material,
schedule, and contact information.
-
521141P Elementary Programming (5op)
-
In this course students learn the basic concepts of programming using
the Python programming language. The course consists of lectures,
exercises and a course assignment in which the student has to write a
program in Python.
