Frequently asked questions
Q: What are the main differences between ATmega161 and ATmega32?
A: ATmega161 has a built-in databus interface and 3 I/O-pins more than ATmega32. ATmega32 has more memory, A/D-converters and built-in 2-wire serial interface (hint:eeprom).

Q: Are there any specs of the stepper motors?
A: Not really. The stepper motors were bought from SP-elektroniikka and there was no specs with them. However, we know that they are bipolar motors, they have been tested to work with 9 volts and with empirical tests we have discovered that there are 48 steps for 360 degrees turn, i.e. 7.5 degrees per step.

Q: How do you operate stepper motors?
A: Read the stepper motor links from the links page. There are good hints for some circuits too.
