18.02.2003 The emulator socket for the ATmega161 is broken at the moment. New sockets have been ordered already 4 months ago but the manufacturer is having difficulties delivering them. As the delivery date has _AGAIN_ been postponed for 10-12 weeks (up till mid-April) we recommend that everyone uses the ATmega32 microcontroller for their embedded systems project.
25.02.2003 ATmega161 is now fixed! The new sockets have surprisingly arrived and students may now use ATmega161 now as they like.

11.03.2003 The Orcad Layout library has been updated. It contains now some footprints of buttons that we have preordered for this course.
19.03.2003 The Orcad Capture library has been updated. It contains now the button components, which contain drawings showing their connections.

12.8.03 There are now 2 ICE50 emulators and 1 JTAG-emulator at the TS139. As there is only one reservation list for the emulator, it applies only for the first ICE50 now. There is also a shortage of LCD-displays and robots. We are producing more of those at the moment.
2.9.03 New template file for Orcad Layout: Jyrsimen suositusasetukset.tch . Use this instead of default.tch and you'll get your PCB out faster.
22.10.03 There is a recent update for GNU compiler, which now includes the variable information in the coff-files. Use make extcoff to get the variables visible for the emulator, and use this makefile when compiling.
