Conference Venue


The 4th international MMA conference will be held at the University of Oulu. The campus of the university is situated in Linnanmaa, about 5 km from the city centre.

The University of Oulu, founded in 1958, has developed quickly into one of the largest and leading universities in Finland. University of Oulu is a science community of 3,100 employees and over 15,800 students. A suitable work environment and excellent research equipment enable research that requires state-of-the-art technology.

 

 

The conference will have a three-and-a-half day of scientific presentations, given in two halls, IT 115 and IT 116 both located in the building Tietotalo 2. The posters will be placed in the foyer/corridor of the same building. Location of the presentation halls are shown on the campus map.

Registration will begin Monday, June 12 at 9am at the University of Oulu, Tietotalo 2, and will be open every day, until 4pm.

Bus transportation will be available for the participants from the hotels. Conference bus timetable as well as timetable for local buses is available HERE. These will be also distributed with the conference material. For more information on local transportation, please check under Practical Information. For those, who prefer to take local transportation or taxi, outside signes will guide you to the conference venue.

Admission to the conference premises is permitted only for those wearing the official conference badges. Badges will be distributed at the registration desk.

With the help of panOULU (Public Access Network Oulu) network, conference attendees will be able to have wireless broadband Internet access in the city centre and Linnanmaa campus area of the University of Oulu. To use the panOulu network you need a WLAN (IEEE 802.11 a/b/g) equipped device.

Computer rooms are reserved for those who will not be able to use the wireless network. Location.
