Dr. Zijian Zhao joined ISG

The robotics research of ISG has strengthened since Dr. Zijian Zhao from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, joined in from August 6. Dr. Zhao´s previous expertise is in camera-based robot-assisted surgical systems. At ISG, Dr. Zhao will contribute in the Human-Robot Interaction project, which is a joint effort with the Machine Vision Group and funded by the Motive research program of the Academy of Finland. In addition, the Infotech Oulu supports the postdoctoral visit of Dr. Zhao from its funds for international mobility.
