Before ALT’07 Conference, Infotech Oulu Workshop 2007 on Optoelectronic Devices and Instrumentation concentrating this time on "Advances in Laser Technologies", will be organized in Levi in 31.8.- 2.9.2007. The lectures will be given in English and are intended for advanced undergraduate and post-graduate students with background in optics, biophotonics, and optoelectronics devices.

Workshop contents

PROGRAM

• Self-organization of ordered nano- and microsctructures on the surface of solids under the action of laser light – Prof. Vladimir Emelyanov

• Coherence-domain and polarization methods in biophotonics – Prof. Valery Tuchin, Russia

• Advanced Laser Measurement Techniques  – Prof. Alexander Priezzhev, Russia

• Optical properties of turbid materials: theory and practice – Prof. Scott Prahl, USA

Workshop consists of four courses (approximately 20 lecture hours). A recreational social program which also aims at promoting discussions with lecturers and between participants is an integral part of the workshop.

For non-students the participation fee is 300 EUR (4 courses), 100 EUR (1 course).
There is a special reduced fee for students.
