Appendices needed

When submitting the final and signed paper copy of the application, you need to include the following appendices.

• 1) Signed application form
  

• 2) Copy of your diploma
  

• 3) Diploma supplement or equivalent, showing detailed contents of your degree
  

• 4) University transcript indicating the grading system of the institution
  

• 5) Copy of your passport
  

• 6) Passport photo
  

• 7) Certificate of skills in English (TOEFL or similar)
  

• 8) Written declarations of how the applicant plans to finance his or her studies in Finland (Please note that although the studying in Finland is cheap, foreign students do not receive any support from from the Finnish government. Hence, you are asked to announce how you will support your living during the studies.)
  
  

The applicants who submit all the obligatory documentation will be considered in the application process.

All the application documentation has to be submitted in either Finnish, Swedish or English. All translations of obligatory enclosures must be done by official translators. The translations must bear the stamp and signature of the translator. Please note that you have to send a legalised copy of the translated document also in its original language. All copies of obligatory documents have to be legalised by a notary public or by the institution that has issued the original document.

All submitted documents will be examined for their eligibility and authenticity. In case the applicant submits forged documents, the application will be automatically rejected.

Submission of applications

The signed application form with all the required appendices have to be delivered by mail or international courier service to the Faculty of technology, where it has to be received by March 12 2009, at 16.15 EET. Faxed or e-mailed applications are not accepted.

Timetable

• Application time starts at February 2, 2009
  
  

• Signed paper applications must be received at the Faculty of Technology, University of Oulu, by March 12, 2009, 16.15 EET
  
  

• Students are notified about the application results by the end of April, 2009
  
  

• The term starts in Oulu, Finland, at September 1, 2009.
